Camp History

This camp was on the property of the Tuskegee Institute (later Tuskegee University). The first mention of BSA use was 1946, but it's likely that it was used earlier. The property was used for weekend camping and primitive summer camps pre-1960. Permanent facilities were ready for summer camp 1961.

A summer camp was held there in 1946, 1948, 1955, 1958, 1960-1968. It is very likely camp was held there from 1955-1968, but we don't have newspaper confirmation. It's also probable camp was held 1946-1968.
