First Mikanakawa Arrowhead Patch - A1;
"The first Mikanakawa Lodge patch did not come about until 1950. As Bill Jordan, Lodge Chief of 1949 and 1950, explains:
"Two of us went to the area conference in San Antonio in 1949. I said, 'We don't have a patch, but we're going to have one for National in 1950'."
So Bill Jordan designed the first patch. It was an arrowhead with an owl. Arrowmen wore the patch on the right pocket of their Scout uniform. The only problem with the patch was that the tip of the arrow was so large it went off the edge of the pocket. After the first order of patches sold out, a new order was placed in 1951 with the arrow cut to the proper dimensions of the Scout uniform pocket" - Quoted from I Go To Prepare A Trail For You - Mikanakawa Lodge 1937-1987 by Peter McNabb
Phil Paul starts the first of many years of service as Lodge Adviser in 1950 (1950-1960)
