Issued late 1976 or early 1977, this was designed to be a trader issue. The solid flaps the Lodge was issuing at the time were restricted to 2 per year. The members wanted an unrestricted flap that they could trade, so this patch was made. The difference
between this patch and the similar looking F4 and F5 is the lack of a fleur de lis(FDL). The members realized this patch should have had an FDL, so when they ran out, they added one, making the F4. The patch was made by Geer Patch Company.
