SS; Bear/Tomahawk; YEL fat FDL with red outline only; large berries
First issued in May of 1995. 1,000 were ordered during January 1995 and another 1,000 in October 1995. It is a totally new design by Laurie Mendler, a graphic artist, who has done many other patch designs.
As compared to previous flap patches, the sun was moved so a portion of the 12 arrows (rays) from the sun is a reflection in water. The bear was moved forward and rotated so details of the head can be seen. The tomahawk held by the bear represents Tomahawk Scout Reservation, the primary camp of Indianhead Council. The ten berries on the bushes represent the ten chapters in the Lodge. The fleur-de-lis is in outline against the center of the sun. Design is in secondary colors. Plastic back.
