History

Initially, the S48a was made available to Palmetto Council Jamboree troop members, regardless of lodge membership, but not to lodge member not attending the jamboree. After the jamboree, lodge members were upset that they were not able to obtain the flaps so a second order was made. In the production of the first run, jump-stitches were left between the stars that made up the "WWW" in the flap. On the second order, per the request of the purchaser, the jump-stitches between the stars were cut/removed.
