Only 1 example known to exist. This has been attributed to be a manufacturer's sample of the S1. It is also possible that this is a "prototype" or sample of of the ZS1. Looking closely at the flap there is more black in the wing that would seem to indicate it is the ZS1 instead of the S1. However, there seem to be tags between the Ws though a threadbreak makes it impossible to tell for sure. Tags between the Ws is a detail unique to the S1 and not on the ZS1. No tags between the letters at the top of the patch can be observed. It is possible that testing the actual cloth the patch is on may decide the matter. At present there is no direct evidence to support the story that this is a sample from 1958 or to disprove it. Y covers prototypes as well as issues of unclear provenance. As this item straddles that line it has been listed as a Y.
