The Tatanka Lodge 529 was formed in 1957. In the Jim Bridger Council headquartered in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Tananka lodge was part of the 12-G section until 1972 when it became section W2C until 1975. After 1975 the section became W2A until lodge merge in 1995.
In January of 1996, the Tantanka #529, Twoa-Ba-Cha #514, and Oala Ishadalakalish #561 Lodges merged to form Awaxaawe Awachia #535 Lodge.
