Lodge Chief Pocket Patch 1936-1940. Only 2 known to exist. Worn on the right breast pocket of the uniform. "Order of the Arrow" Mazasha. Image of Red Iron (Mazasha) was a Sisseton Dakota chief who was among the signers of the Treaty of Traverse des Sioux. At the time of the treaty in 1851 he was described by an eyewitness as "about forty years old, tall and athletic.....with a physiognomy beaming with intelligence and resolution."
