Section History

In 1942 the eleven OA lodges of SC, GA, and FL were grouped as Area J. With a lot of new lodges being formed across Region 6 in the early 1940s the decision was made to split Area J into two Areas. Area J kept the lodges in Florida and southern Georgia. The new Area Z was formed with the lodges of South Carolina and northern Georgia. Fellowship Meetings were held in 1947, 1948, and 1949 in South Carolina.
