GMY FDL, BLK name, "2001 2002 Friends of Scouting", $100 donation required. Mardi Gras colors for background.
Details from Randy Worcester's original Attakapas Council CSP web site:
2001-2002 FOS shoulder patch for donation of $100 or more. Designed by Ernie Story.
4/2002 Initial Quantity 375
This patch makes use of the colors associated with Louisiana’s Mardi Gras Celebration. Purple represents justice; green, faith; and gold, power. The red was added to symbolize the Red River that runs through the center of the council. The colors are in panes resembling the stained glass windows of the many religious institutions that sponsor units throughout the council. The stylized Fleur de Lis reflects the area’s French heritage.
